A woman in her 50s was hit by a passing vehicle on Highway 89 and killed, Israeli media reported on Saturday morning.
MDA paramedics who arrived at the site had to pronounce her dead at the scene.
Paramedic Shiran Elbaz said that "the injured woman was lying on the side of the road unconscious. We performed medical tests but she had no signs of life and we had to confirm her death."
Police have opened an investigation into the incident.
