US regulators have finalized a more than $5.1 million fine levied on conservative activists for making more than 1,000 illegal robocalls ahead of the 2020 US election, according to the Federal Communications Commission.
The FCC, in a statement dated last week, said it was fining John Burkman, Jacob Wohl and J.M. Burkman & Associates LLC for their calls to potential voters in August and September 2020 after first proposing the penalty in 2021.
