One killed in Kafr Kassem shooting overnight as Arab sector crime rises

A West Bank resident in his 30s became the 121st victim of Arab sector violence on Wednesday night after he was fatally shot in the town of Kafr Kassem, according to Israel Police.

Police responded to a 100 hotline call about a shooting incident overnight, and found the man unconscious and in serious condition. He was subsequently taken to Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva where he was officially pronounced dead. 

The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation, but police determined that the incident was criminal in nature.
