Taiwan says 42 Chinese aircraft, eight ships involved in drills

Taiwan's defense ministry said that starting Saturday morning it had detected 42 Chinese aircraft and eight ships involved in drills around the island.

A total of 26 Chinese aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait, which had previously served as an unofficial barrier, or crossed over its "extended line," the ministry said in a statement.
