Several Palestinians were injured in rioting near the border in Gaza on Friday, the IDF spokesperson announced later in the day.
Israeli forces responded to hundreds of rioters along the border of the Gaza Strip. As a means of dispersal to clear the rioters from the area, the Israeli security personnel responded with sniper fire. Several casualties have been confirmed.
The IDF reported a number of explosive devices were thrown, as well as several attempts to breach the barrier area. All of the attempts to breach the border were foiled by the forces.
