Disabled Israeli lawmaker Karine Elharrar injured in crash, driver detained

Yesh Atid MK Karine Elharrar was hit by a vehicle while crossing a road in Rishon Lezion on Friday afternoon, Israel Police said.

Elharrar, who has muscular dystrophy, uses a wheelchair and a special vehicle to get around. She was lightly injured in the incident.

Israel Police said the driver was taken in for questioning.
