Jerusalem police have detained two individuals in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood after they were reported acting suspiciously near a local synagogue, according to a statement from the Israel Police.
Upon responding to the tip-off, detectives from the Shefet station of the Jerusalem district identified and apprehended the two suspects, both in their 30s. One of the suspects, an east Jerusalem resident, was discovered to be in possession of several items, notably a knife, a kippah, and a necklace that had a Star of David on it.
The motive behind the suspects' intent of carrying these items remains unclear and is currently under investigation.
This is a developing story.
