Opposition Leader Yair Lapid visited the city of Ashkelon, where he heard a review from the mayor, Tomer Glam, about the state of emergency in the city and the problem of protecting and evacuating the residents.
"Ashkelon is not on the rear front," Lapid stated. "It is on the frontlines and it should receive what the frontline should receive.
"I sat with the mayor, I sat with his staff and I got all the data and now we will go fight the Knesset and the finance committee to make sure that Ashkelon gets what it and its citizens deserve."
"This country is not separated, there is no difference between being at the rear and the frontlines. There is a front and this war should be conducted as if we were now on the frontline.''
