Bank Hapoalim has launched an unprecedented initiative, offering a three-month mortgage payment exemption to customers owning properties within the Gaza border communities.
Bank Hapoalim announced on Thursday an additional measure to support its clients in the areas near the border with Gaza. The bank will provide a complete waiver of mortgage payments for three months to those clients whose properties, mortgaged to the bank, are situated within the border area (within 0-7 km of the border). “This relief will cover the monthly repayments for November, December, and January and will be automatically applied, eliminating the need for customers to contact the bank,” the bank said.
“This initiative complements the option to suspend mortgage payments for three months at no additional cost, aligning with the framework previously announced by the Bank of Israel,” the statement said.
