Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen is slated to address the United Nations Security Council in New York on Tuesday.
He is expected to travel to the United States together with a delegation of families whose relatives are among the 212 people held hostage by Hamas since October 7th.
Israel has sought to push the international community to pressure Hamas to release the hostages. The NYT reports that Qatar is working for the release of 50 hostages who are dual Israeli citizens or hold foreign passports.
