Seven Italians and three Palestinian relatives exit Gaza, Italy's foreign minister says

Seven Italians and three Palestinian relatives have crossed into Egypt from the Israeli-besieged Gaza Strip and are "all in good health", Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Friday.

Speaking after a cabinet meeting in Rome, Tajani said the seven Italians also have Palestinian citizenship. He added that the group of ten was on its way to Cairo.

Hundreds of foreign passport holders and gravely injured Palestinians have been evacuated from Gaza via the Rafah crossing to Egypt since Wednesday, including other Italians.

Friday's transit through Rafah brings to 17 the number of Italian citizens, Italo-Palestinian dual nationals and Palestinian family members who have been evacuated so far, an Italian foreign ministry statement said.
