After Israel intercepted a missile targeting an Israeli aircraft by a Hezbollah surface-to-air missile system, the IDF targeted and destroyed the system, the IDF spokesperson said on Saturday.
The IDF also struck several additional terror targets in Lebanon, including Hezbollah compounds and military positions.
Later on Saturday, the IDF stated that its aerial defense array had brought down a "suspicious" target in Lebanese territory.
The IDF also said that it had identified more missile launches from Lebanon that were aimed at IDF positions. In response, the Israeli military targeted several Hezbollah observation posts using both tank fire and airstrikes.
It also reported that earlier, in the morning, an IDF UAV made an emergency landing in an open area in northern part of the country.
An initial report found that it had not sustained damage from enemy action, and no injuries were reported. Nevertheless, an investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
