Pro-Palestinian protests in London were arrested after the demonstration turned violent on Saturday evening.
Breakaway groups began attacking the police with flares, the Metropolitan Police announced on X. It was also noted that flares had been shot at police in protests over the previous weeks.

In response to the escalating violence, the police have issued a Public Order Act which prevents the continuation of the pro-Palestinian march.
Earlier arrests had also been announced as protesters displayed Nazi symbols and wore Hamas-style headbands, which is criminalized under the Terrorism Act.
