A decision to invite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address Congress has yet to be made, a spokesperson for Speaker Mike Johnson told The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, Johnson said inviting Netanyahu is "under consideration." Johnson's office told The Post it's too soon to say when this joint session with Netanyahu could occur.
As of Thursday, Johnson has not discussed inviting Netanyahu to a joint session of Congress with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, as reported by a spokesperson for Schumer.
“Israel has no stronger ally than the United States and our relationship transcends any one president or any one Prime Minister. I will always welcome the opportunity for the Prime Minister of Israel to speak to Congress in a bipartisan way," Schumer said.
