A Jewish man was arrested Friday for arson against his synagogue, the Toronto Police Service said on Sunday.
Avrom Bobrowsky, 67, is alleged to have used his key to enter the synagogue that he was a congregant of and deliberately set a fire last Thursday. Bobrowsky then reportedly fled the scene.
The suspect appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice on Monday.
The incident is not connected to the Toronto synagogue that had its signs set on fire on April 26 and April 28, and the synagogue that had its window smashed on April 19.
