Israel 'can rely only on ourselves,' says Consul Akunis at a Remembrance Day ceremony in New York

The Israeli Consulate in New York and the Israeli delegation to the UN held a ceremony for Remembrance Day at Temple Emanuel synagogue on Sunday.

During the ceremony, Consul Ofir Akunis said: "Alliances are important and we appreciate them, but time and again we learn that we need to rely only on ourselves and our strengths."
