The IDF said on Tuesday that following an identification by observers in the North, troops had thwarted a suspect who had attempted to enter Israeli territory.
The military also said that forces were searching the area and that forces had not been injured.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli media reported that a man who attempted to cross into Israel from Jordan was shot by the security forces.
The Israeli forces reportedly carried out a suspect arrest procedure before opening fire.
