IDF strikes Syrian military, killing one, wounding others after UAVs launched at Eilat

According to the Syrian military, the strike targeted, among others, a building in the Kafr Sousa area of Damascus.

Following the interception of two unmanned aerial aircrafts (UAVs) that had been launched from Syrian territory towards Eilat early Sunday morning, the IDF said it had struck a Syrian military command center, military infrastructure sites, and targets of the Syrian Aerial Defense Unit.

A Syrian soldier was killed in the strike, and three other people were wounded, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), citing the Syrian military. 

Strike targets Damascus area

Further, according to the Syrian military, the strike targeted, among others, a building in the Kafr Sousa area of Damascus. 

The Syrian military claimed it had "confronted the enemy's missiles" and "shot down a significant number of them."

Earlier on Sunday, the IDF said it had successfully intercepted two UAVs approaching the area north of Eilat from Syrian territory.
