Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara opposed Sunday the promotion of Supt. Meir Suissa as Tel Aviv police chief, Israeli media reported.
"From a legal point of view, it is not possible to promote Supt. Suisa in rank or to appoint him as the commander of the police station in south Tel Aviv. His entry into office or the wearing of ranks - contrary to the law," she wrote.
