The intention of Israel's military operations in Lebanon is to cut "Hezbollah from the war with Hamas," according to an Israeli official who spoke to CNN.
This reportedly came to light during a security cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday night. The official also told CNN that the cabinet has agreed to raise the level of military operations.
IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said on Monday that the military was “preparing for the next phases."
