Smoke rose from Beirut's southern suburbs early Monday morning, Reuters reported.

An air strike was reported in the Lebanese capital, Israeli media earlier reported.

This comes after a series of precise Israeli strikes conducted in the Beirut area in recent days.

Recent strikes in Lebanon's capital

Earlier on Monday, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) announced three of its leaders were killed in a strike in the Kola district of Beirut.

On Sunday, the IDF announced it had eliminated 20 Hezbollah terrorists in Beirut alongside the terror group's head, Hassan Nasrallah, in the strike carried out in Beirut on Friday night.

In addition, on Sunday, the military confirmed it had killed Nabil Kaouk, chief of Hezbollah's preventive security unit and a member of the terror group's council on Saturday.
