After Israel's Thursday strike on Hezbollah's Intelligence Headquarters in Beirut, the military confirmed on Friday the elimination of Hezbollah communications network head Mohammad Rashid Sakafi.

The Thursday IAF strike on Beirut was conducted according to intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate and targeted Hezbollah sites involved in the group's intelligence operations, the IDF reported that day.

Appointed head of Hezbollah's communications network in 2000, Sakafi was a long-time member of the terrorist organization and was closely connected to senior Hezbollah officials, the IDF noted.
