The Family Purity organization announced on its website last Wednesday that a mikveh, a Jewish ritual bath, in Nahariya has shut down.
The announcement noted that the mikveh was outdated and began to deteriorate. Some of the electrical systems had begun to malfunction, causing power strikes and making the facility unsafe.
The announcement further noted that a protected area will be built on the premises as part of the mikveh's reconstruction plan.
