IDF troops arrested four Palestinians on Sunday who had M16s and a loaded magazine in the West Bank, Israel's military said shortly after the incident.
The arrest came after reports of suspicious behavior were received, according to the IDF.
"The terrorists and the weapons that were found have been handed over to security forces for further handling. There are no casualties," the IDF added.
Following the arrest, the Israel Police noted that the four Palestinian suspects threatened several young people who were hiking in the area at the time.
"The four suspects and the weapon will be transferred for further investigation and handling by the Judea and Samaria District," the Police added.
Terror in the West Bank
One day before the incident, on Saturday, an additional terror attempt was carried out in the West Bank after a Palestinian driver rammed into an Israeli police car at the entrance of the Israeli settlement of Ofra, near Ramallah.
The Palestinian driver was killed during the ramming. No casualties among Israeli forces or civilians occurred during the incident, the IDF noted.
