A heavy strike was heard near Beirut's southern suburbs on Monday night, witnesses said.
A strike hit near the Rafik Hariri Hospital in the Lebanese capital, a source from the hospital said.
Four people were killed in the strike, with an additional 24 injured, Reuters reported.
Early on Tuesday, the Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadeen claimed an additional strike had occurred in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Evacuation notices were issued
On Monday evening, before the first explosions were heard, IDF spokesperson in Arabic Avichay Adraeewarned residents of Beirut's southern suburbs living in specific buildings to evacuate in a post on X/Twitter.
