Five rockets were fired at northern Israel from Lebanon early Tuesday morning, the IDF said, following the multiple rocket sirens that sounded in Haifa, Acre, and throughout the Carmel area, starting at 4:51 a.m. local time.
The five rockets were intercepted by the IDF.
Sirens blared in Haifa’s bayside suburbs, Yagur, and Daliat al-Carmel, among other locations. Overall, some 63 communities were alerted and sent into shelters, according to Walla.
Police later said shrapnel from interceptors had been found in two communities in the North. A building sustained minor damage, and no injuries were reported.
This is a developing story.
