Israel Air Force (IAF) jets struck Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in the Al Qusayr area in Syria, the IDF reported on Tuesday.

The strike, on a facility belonging to the terror group's munition unit, was guided by the Intelligence Directorate, the IDF said.

The military noted that the unit, responsible for Hezbollah's storage of weapons in Lebanon, had lately expanded its operations in the Al Qusayr area, located on the Lebanese-Syrian border.

Hezbollah Infrastructure within a civilian area

"This is a further example of Hezbollah establishing logistical infrastructure to transfer weapons from Syria to Lebanon through smuggling routes," the military said in a statement.

The IDF added that "Hezbollah, with the support of the Syrian regime, continues to endanger the safety of civilians by establishing its terrorist infrastructure within civilian areas."
