Israeli airline company Sundor, a subsidiary of El Al, will begin operating direct flights to and from Albania, the company announced on Tuesday.
Sundor will operate three weekly flights to Tirana on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting with its inaugural flight on March 31, 2025.
El Al's frequent flyer club members will be able to accumulate and redeem club points on the flight.
Strengthening Israeli-Albanian ties
Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama said on X/Twitter on Wednesday that the move would strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries and would "open doors for cultural exchange, tourism, and business opportunities."
"Encouraging Israelis to explore Albania’s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant traditions, and growing economy will undoubtedly foster stronger friendships and partnerships," Rama said.

The Albanian leader also commended Israel's President Isaac Herzog, describing him as " an exceptional man, an inspiring leader, and my dear friend."
Herzog, in turn, wished Rama well, responding, "I wish you and your government much success in this great and important development strengthening the close ties between our peoples."
