Gov't approval of hostage deal delayed until afternoon at the earliest

The security cabinet and the government will only meet to approve the hostage deal on Thursday afternoon or evening.

The delay in the vote is caused by the fact that the hostage deal delegation hasn't finished its work in Qatar and returned to Israel. When the delegation returns, the security cabinet will convene.

Originally, the cabinet was meant to convene at 11 a.m. local time.
