BGU, TAU named to international green universities list

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev ranked 60th in a list of 178 universities chosen for Universitas Indonesia's second annual UI GreenMetric World Universities Ranking, improving its position of 46th out of 95 from the year before, the Beersheba-based school announced on Sunday.The only other Israeli institution to make the list was Tel Aviv University, which achieved a ranking of 93.The ranking system examined different aspects of sustainability at the universities, looking at issues like energy and climate, waste management, water usage and transportation.
