CNN on Tuesday night projected 123 electoral votes for US President Barack Obama and 152 for Republican Mitt Romney in the race so far, as polls closed in a number of states in the midwest United States and in the South.CNN projected Kansas, Louisiana, 3 of 5 Nebraska votes, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming and Mississippi for Romney.It projected Obama wins in Michigan, New York and New Jersey.
