A Code Red rocket alert siren sounded in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council area on Thursday evening. There was no immediate report of a fallen rocket being located in Israeli territory. The IDF was investigating the incident. The alert came after the Islamic Jihad claimed that a ceasefire had been reached with Israel through Egyptian mediation.
