Some 7,071 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Israel on Saturday, with 726 patients in serious condition, according to a Sunday morning update by the Health Ministry.
Some 7.09% of tests returned positive.
Of those infected, 149 were on ventilators. The death toll stood at 6,958.
Some 1,962,253 Israelis had received the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of Sunday morning.
