As many people are unable to work in a time of massive home quarantine, the Israel Electric Corporation reported on Sunday it will not disconnect clients who cannot pay their debts but instead offer them special codes so they can continue to enjoy electric power despite not being able to work.
The decision was made by company CEO Yiftah Ron Tal after he was petitioned by Rabbis for Human Rights and The Tipping Point NGO.
