The Knesset approved on Wednesday a one time grant to be given to people with disabilities in two rounds; once in March and once in June.The total sum, NIS 1.569 billion, will be allocated by the Finance Ministry to the National Insurance Institute of Israel (NIII). The NIII is meant to make the payments.
Due to Israel not having a state budget and its obligation to an existing 2018 law to offer the disabled community increased benefits, the solution of a one time grant was adopted.
