Israel's President Isaac Herzog held a diplomatic meeting Wednesday with the president of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The two presidents discussed the importance of Israeli-German cooperation in the fight against antisemitism and the matter of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip and elsewhere, among other topics.
Herzog thanked Steinmeier for his efforts on the topic of Israeli prisoners.
