Highway 1, in anticipation of Shimon Peres's funeral, was closed in both directions from Ben Gurion International Airport to Jerusalem. The highway will remain closed until 9 a.m. on Friday. Police have requested that people avoid the major throughway, and note that there will be heavy traffic on alternate routes.
