A female officer has been appointed to the position of deputy commander of a combat squadron, the IDF announced on Tuesday evening.
Major N. was trained as a navigator and will be promoted to Lt.-Col when she starts her role next year as deputy commander of the 119th Bat squadron, which flies F-16s from Ramon airbase.
