IDF opens fire at two Syrians trying to steal landmines near border fence

Two Syrians who got close to the Syrian-Israeli border fence, apparently in an attempt to steal landmines, were shot at by IDF forces and fled back into Syria, Channel 2 reported.The IDF opened fire, shooting at the suspects' feet, after the two ignored calls to identify themselves.The two fled back into Syria after one of them was hit in his lower body.It is unclear whether the two intended to infiltrate Israeli territory, or just sought to steal landmines in a nearby field.
