Israel draws 1:1 at Azerbaijan in first World Cup qualifier

Israel's national soccer team finished its first 2014 World Cup qualifying match with a 1:1 draw at Azerbaijan on Friday.After a scoreless first half, Bebras Natcho put Israel ahead 1:0 in the 50th minute. Azerbaijan's Ruslan Abishov equalized 14 minutes later.Israel hosts Russia at the National Stadium in Ramat Gan on Tuesday. Russia defeated Northern Ireland 2:0 on Friday evening.
