Authorities arrested an Israeli lawyer at the Minsk National Airport in Belarus earlier this week for possession of 6 grams of cannabis in her bag, Ynet reported on Thursday.
The lawyer claimed that her cannabis is used for medical purposes. Under Belarusian law, it is an offense punishable by up to three to five years in prison.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry stated that the case is currently under investigation.
