The Defense Ministry released a statement claiming that the Kerem Shalom crossing will be closed starting Thursday May 2 until Sunday May 5. The reasoning behind the closing of the border crossing is infrastructure works. Kerem Shalom border crossing is a border crossing at the junction of the Gaza Strip–Israel border and the Gaza–Egypt border.
