Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas spoke with outgoing President Reuven Rivlin on Tuesday, a day before he is to be replaced by Isaac Herzog, Palestinian media reported.
According to the report, Abbas expressed his hope for peace between the two sides "as soon as possible."
Rivlin reportedly thanked Abbas for the call.The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), Major-General Rassan Aliyan, facilitated the conversation between the two.
