The "Al-Quds Foundation," an organization which is based in Morocco, announced on Saturday that it has bought $5 million worth of land in east Jerusalem, a move which it said was intended to protect the "Islamic-Arab" nature of the eastern portion of the city, Israel Radio reported. According to the report, which cited a press conference given by the foundation in Morocco, the purchased land amounts to 1,800 square meters, and will serve as the location of a future cultural center.
