PA's Abbas arrives in China for four-day visit

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Beijing on Monday to kick-off a four-day state visit to China, official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.

During the visit, Abbas is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, China's Premier Li Keqiang and other officials to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East.

The two sides are also expected to sign several bilateral agreements in efforts to bolster cooperation in a range of fields.

In addition, Abbas is scheduled to deliver a speech on Wednesday evening at the China National Institute of Administration. The PA president is due to attend several state ceremonies throughout his visit.
