Extremist haredi protestors took to the streets of Jerusalem once again on Thursday afternoon to demonstrate against the arrest of yeshiva students who fail to request their IDF exemption, temporarily shutting down some streets and junctions to traffic.Protestors from various radical haredi factions blocked the Kikar Shabbat junction between Mea Shearim and Geula, as well as the busy Haim Bar Lev Boulevard and the light rail network which runs long that street, and also smashed bus windows on Mea Shearim street. The police managed to disperse the protestors, arresting five of them for disturbing the public order.
