Rio Olympic stadium has water and power cut over unpaid bills

The Rio de Janeiro stadium that will host athletics at the 2016 Olympic Games has been without water and electricity over the past week due to unpaid bills, Brazilian media reported on Monday.
According to Globo's website, the Joao Havelange stadium, locally known as Engenhao, owes some $225,000 dollars in outstanding utility bills.
The 45,000-capacity arena built for the 2007 Pan American Games became the home ground of Rio's Botafogo soccer club, which signed a 20-year agreement with the city's government.
