President Barack Obama announced Tuesday that the United States was set to contribute $339 million in additional US humanitarian aid to the Syrian people, a statement said. According to the statement, the new contribution would raise total US humanitarian funding to Syria to over $1.3 billion since the beginning of the conflict.
