Defense Ministry to unveil Israeli security technologies in France
The 1500-square meter Israeli pavilion will feature products from 30 Israeli defense companies.

The Defense Ministry announced on Monday that it would unveil several new Israeli security technologies at the bi-annual Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris.The 1,500-square meter Israeli pavilion will feature products from 30 Israeli defense companies, including unmanned aerial and surface systems, air defense, and facility protection systems. Eurosatory began on Monday and will conclude on June 17.The Israeli pavilion will also feature advanced communications systems designed to give militaries a “significant edge on the modern battlefield,” the Defense Ministry added.Brig.-Gen. (res.) Mishel Ben Baruch, who heads the Ministry’s Sibat defense export agency, said that Israeli defense companies have much to offer Europe on the issue of border security and control. “We are seeing a growing interest in Israeli technologies in recent years,” he said.The Israeli pavilion will exhibit a medium-sized drone that can remain airborne for 25 hours and is immune to GPS jamming, tactical drones for intelligence gathering missions, and systems designed to block hostile drones. Lightweight robots, and suits that are bullet and knife-proof will also be on display.Last week, Elbit Systems unveiled a helmet-mounted system designed to allow armored personnel carrier and tank crews to see straight through the armor of their vehicles. The helmet will be on display at the exhibition.According to Elbit, it gives soldiers a 360-degree, realtime view of their surroundings while in the vehicle.Called IronVision, the system has attracted the interest of the IDF, which may choose to acquire it.
