Officers from the police and the Border Police arrested a Palestinian woman on Monday morning who they said was on her way to carry out a stabbing attack at the Tomb of the Patriarchs. The Border Police said the woman, a 22-year-old resident of Hebron, was stopped by officers outside the tomb, who carried out a search on her, finding two long kitchen knives and a box-cutter.The Border Police said that under investigation the woman admitted that she planned to carry out a stabbing attack at the site. The very same woman was reportedly arrested a year ago for plotting a stabbing attack, the Border Patrol said, adding that she was released from prison only a few months ago.The commander of the Border Police post at the Tomb, Deputy Commander Eliyahu Tzafrir praised the female Border Police officer who stopped the woman, saying that her “professional alertness prevented the incident from escalating.”
